The neglected resource
If your small hydro plant doesn’t fit your load, then make your load fit the hydro plant! Hydro power has a near zero marginal rate, allowing it to be used in place of just about any other source of energy, as long as the plant is not overloaded. These inexpensive Load Management Units allow this. Having a hydro powerplant shut down from an overload is just plain irritating. These load management units prevent this by removing whatever loads are available to be turned off. Each Load management unit can control from one to four loads. In addition, as many of these units can be used on a system as desired. No special wiring or communications is required. Just supply AC power to the unit and allow it to control some loads.
